2008 Smeal/Spartan
Ladder 31 is a 105' Smeal (Spartan Gladiator) with 515HP Detroit Diesel engine, Allison transmission. 400 gal tank with a 2000 GPM Waterous pump. The ladder carries e-draulics and responds along with the squad to all MVA's. (Picture was taken @ the Duke Power Steam Plant - Mt Island Lake)

The QRV is equipped with medical supplies and runs first out on medicals calls within the district. Our department runs C, D, and E level medical calls. QRV31 is also used to tow Marine 31 to all Water/Boat Emergency and Air 31. Lastly, the QRV carries one of our saws and is equipped with a Warn winch and is used to clear roadways for downed trees.
2007 KME Elliptical
Tanker 314

This elliptical setup has a 3500 gallon tank containing 3200 gallons water/ 300 gallons foam sitting on a Kenworth T800 chassis. Tanker 314 runs second out to all structure fires in district. This apparatus has the capability to be converted to potable water should the need be present. for Tanker 314 runs mutual aid with neighboring departments in Gaston, Lincoln, and Mecklenburg Counties.

Tanker 314 is also assign to the Gaston County Tanker Task Force. The task force was used for the 1st time on Saturday May 9th, 2011 as they (including T314) responded to Caldwell County for a large fire at a chemical plant.

Air 31

Is a totally enclosed dual axle trailer well suited for mobile applications. It comes with four ASME storage cylinders, Scott Safety Revolve Air Charge Station, Scott Safety X4 controller/monitor (monitors CO & Dew Point) for safe operation, and is capable of being towed by any vehicle rated for 7,000 pounds or more Air 31 is frequently called for by our neighboring departments for structure fires and large incidents to keep their crews breathing safely.
Engine 311
2005 Spartan
Engine 311 (Pumper/Tanker) Engine is a Detroit Series 60 440HP. Has a 1000 Gallon Tank, 1500gpm Darley Pump with a Feecom Around Pump (Foam). E311 also serve as our secondary Rescue with Phoenix Rescue hydraulic tools.
2001 KME

Serves as our first due Rescue on All MVA and Rescue Assignments.

This apparatus is operates with a 750 gallon tank, 1500 GPM pump, and a Feecon foam system. It has a cascade system with (4) 6000 psi storage cylinders. Phoenix rescue tools including a spreader/cutter, super and mini ram, 10KW Generator. This apparatus is fully equipped with medical supplies and is our secondary medical response truck
